What is YOURS?

Established in 1997, YOURS Student Association is a non-profit student association registered both at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. Currently, the association has over 1000 members and executives.

By organizing an array of social, educational and entertaining events, our goal is to break the gap between students of the two universities, enabling them to meet new friends with different academic, cultural and social backgrounds. Furthermore, through the organization of these events, we provide members an opportunity to develop various soft skills, such as communication, leadership, negotiation, promotion, design and team-working skills, that can greatly enhance their success in today's competitive market place upon graduation.

Furthermore, YOURS is the best place to advertise your products and services. In addition to having hundreds of university students as our members, the events we organize have a high turnout regularly, enabling your products to reach out to a large people base (especially youths in the Chinese Vancouver community). Moreover, our posters, website, e-mail announcements and newsletters are excellent ways to promote your products as well. Last but not least, as a non-profit student association, YOURS believes in serving the community. We regularly donate proceeds of our events to selected local charity to help those that are less fortunate. In addition, we actively participate in fund raising events organized by different charitable groups. We are also happy to perform any volunteering work if required.
